Erosion & Roads

  • Culvert replacement
  • Armored fords
  • Stream crossings
  • Bridges
  • Grading for hydrologic connectivity

We use local materials of willow, woody debris, and rock to construct bioengineered structures that both create habitat and prevent erosion. After a few years, our habitat restoration projects blend with nature, appearing to be a healthy ecosystem, undistinguishable from the native environment.

Our road designs save money on maintenance because they get water off the road quickly, before it can do damage by eroding the road surface. They also save salmon by preventing erosion – the leading cause of the demise of salmon in the Pacific Northwest.
